Good paddling weather continues
Another day paddling ? We hope so. Yesterday was fun with a great paddling in the morning with Erin and Billy. The sun was shining and light winds made for great paddling.

It might have been forecast to be a grey raining and windy morning, but it wasnt. We were blessed with no wind, high tide and a peep of sun every now and again.
Saturday morning was fantastic, with calm glassey conditions and a high tide at 9. Pics below of the great condiitons experienced by three intrepid paddlers who couldnt have chosen a better day to give paddle boarding a go.
A bit grey this morning but the sun will come out. Light northerlies with a freshening northwest. Easing again late tonite. High tide 9.00 this morning. Bigger swell on the surf breaks this morning and only for the competant surf paddler.
Waves today if you are keen with 2-3 feet on the Points. Seabreazes developing. The harbour is looking beautiful this morning with calm and glassey conditions. After windless Friday the weekend went ballistic with strong as winds from west. today is not as windy but still enough tomake it not that pleasant for paddling. Not enough south in it for a down winder. High tide this morning with westerlies for the rest of the day.

Hi guys the holidays have started and the sun is shining. Bit windy this morning but you can still find a place to paddle while the tide is high. High this morning at 11.30 and fresh gusty southwest to west winds. Possible down winder after lunch.

Situated on the beautiful Whaingaroa Harbor an enviable location, that provides consistent conditions for surf and flat water instruction. Allowing our school to cater for beginners in a safe environment, through to paddlers who want to go to another level level and get out in the waves. There is access to the world famous left hand points breaks and the consistent West Coast beaches along with calm inner harbour conditions.
The main thrust of the school will be towards Stand Up paddling, with group, and one on one lessons available along with board hire age. We have spent the last few years promoting the sport of Stand Up paddling and have become well known in the region as the people to come to, to find out anything to do with stand Up paddling.
We have been busy at the International Surfing Association, paddle board instructor school and have obtained the highest qualifications available in NZ for paddle boarding approved by Surfing NZ.
We also updated our First Aid and Life Saver certificates while the water was a bit cooler. All aimed at you guys getting a great safe experience.
Lessons:
70 minute paddle lesson $75
Guaranteed to get you paddling unaided
from 10 yrs to 80 yrs and older .
Group beginners 70 minute $55 pp
minimum of three paddlers.
Board Hire
The paddle board shed has a range of Paddle boards to choose from as little as $20 for half an hour.
One hour Board/paddle/leash $35
Half day Board/paddle/leash $65
Full Day Board/paddle/leash $90
Longer times available on request.
