We have been having large high tides this week and today is no different with a 3.9m high at quarter to four this afternoon. It is a bit misty this morning but hopefullly by late afternoon it will be sunny.

Sunday was too good to waist on the couch so after the lessons were finished we headed to the otherside for a bit cruising and time out. A bit of a paddle but always worth the effort the otherside shows you an untouched part of the harbour.
Say no more what a weekend. Brilliant sunshine saturday, warm as Sunday and light winds all weekend. The tides were big as well the water lapping right up against the outer edges of the harbour. In the late afternoon Nathan and his crew cruised into to town for a paddle on the rising tide and easing wind. We headed back up the harbour to Moonlight bay again. Clear water great conditions . Sheltered from the light breeze and catching the late afternoon sun.
Plenty of paddling going on this week with monday morning a cracker. Richard and carey came over to the shed to celbrate Richards birthday. They scored primo conditions in the morning with no wind and a shining sun. We paddled up the harbour to Moonlight Bay and idyllac conditions.
Another great day to go [addlong. Light winds first thing and then a fresh seabreeze. The wind dropped off again late in the afternoon.

Situated on the beautiful Whaingaroa Harbor an enviable location, that provides consistent conditions for surf and flat water instruction. Allowing our school to cater for beginners in a safe environment, through to paddlers who want to go to another level level and get out in the waves. There is access to the world famous left hand points breaks and the consistent West Coast beaches along with calm inner harbour conditions.
The main thrust of the school will be towards Stand Up paddling, with group, and one on one lessons available along with board hire age. We have spent the last few years promoting the sport of Stand Up paddling and have become well known in the region as the people to come to, to find out anything to do with stand Up paddling.
We have been busy at the International Surfing Association, paddle board instructor school and have obtained the highest qualifications available in NZ for paddle boarding approved by Surfing NZ.
We also updated our First Aid and Life Saver certificates while the water was a bit cooler. All aimed at you guys getting a great safe experience.

70 minute paddle lesson $75
Guaranteed to get you paddling unaided
from 10 yrs to 80 yrs and older .
Group beginners 70 minute $55 pp
minimum of three paddlers.
Board Hire
The paddle board shed has a range of Paddle boards to choose from as little as $20 for half an hour.
One hour Board/paddle/leash $35
Half day Board/paddle/leash $65
Full Day Board/paddle/leash $90
Longer times available on request.
