Sunny Sunday

Finally a day of sun a good paddling conditions. The day dawned real lowsey with rain and wind. By mid morning it was sunny and the tide had turned. 1pm and we are on the water. Pics below of Grab 1’s, Treat me’s and our neighbours for the week. One small problem my camera ended up with a water mark on the lens. So the pics arent the best. But rather than just ditch them here thye are….

Plastic at the Pipe

Plastic fantastic

Garrett McNamara is easily one of the worlds most extreme surfers and waterman. Just last month he took the world record for surfing the biggest wave ever surfed – 90′ in Portugal. Then, on his return to Hawaii, he decided to take our plastic stand up surfing board into the North Shores most intimidating and dangerous wave  -Pipeline.
At first we thought he was just going to take the one drop and be done with it, but no… wave after wave after wave as he exclaimed “This thing is really fun!!”

Looking a little scarey

    Hi Keith,

I enjoyed my first crack at paddle boarding the other day. Probably make it a regular thing going forward. Would you mind giving me a yell next time you do the Waikato river please? I’d like to give that a lash! When will you upload the photos?

    Cheers
    Craig
